“One of the strategic directions in the organization of medical care for the population of the Republic of Tatarstan is to reduce the mortality from cardiovascular diseases and injuries, and hence to improve the effectiveness of emergency medical care. The population of Kazan exceeds 1.1 million people. More than half of the population (550 thousand people) lives in the territory of the district of Zarechye. Therefore, the resources for providing round-the-clock emergency medical care, dispersed in the small medical institutions of the capital, were concentrated in the Emergency medicine center, established at the Kazan Clinical Hospital №7 Due to the optimal geographical location of the hospital and convenient transport interchanges, the time for arriving the ambulance from the most remote districts of the district of Zarechye to the clinic is minimal. Today Emergency medicine centre is 1,164 stationary beds and 63 resuscitation beds. Specialized medical care, including high-tech, is rendered around the clock, 7 days a week; – 21 stationary department; – 515 doctors and 986 paramedical personnel; – 12 scientific departments of Kazan State Medical University and Kazan State Medical Academy; – More than 20 births take place in the maternity hospital every day; – more than 270 references daily in the reception and diagnostic department; – daily more than 50 surgical interventions; – polyclinic service annually provides consultative and diagnostic assistance to more than 400 thousand people. Doctors of the clinic were trained in leading Russian and foreign medical centres in Germany, Israel, USA, France. Kazan Clinical Hospital No.7 is a multidisciplinary health care facility that provides in full volume highly qualified and highly specialized medical assistance to the residents of Kazan at the modern methodological and practical levels.
Since the opening of the Kazan Clinical Hospital No.7 in July 2013, the population of the district of Zarechye (about 600 thousand people) has the opportunity to receive emergency and urgent, including high-tech, medical care 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
Kazan Clinical Hospital No.7 is today one of the largest and most equipped hospitals in the city, which has modern medical equipment, highly qualified specialists and advanced technologies in the field of medicine. 24-hour care is provided both on-site and out-patient. The advantage of the multidisciplinary institution is the ability to perform the entire treatment and diagnostic process, preserving consistency and continuity in the patient’s interests, understanding how important it is to properly organize medical care for patients at all stages: provide emergency medical care at home, take the patient to the hospital, provide specialized care at an inpatient stage, provide an outpatient department with dynamic monitoring and develop a treatment plan.

The main directions of the surgical unit are: the improvement of diagnostic methods and integrated treatment of acute surgical diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, lesions of thoracic and abdominal cavities in patients with concomitant injuries.The study of patterns of development and improvement of methods for diagnosis, prevention and treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the hepatopancreatoduodenal zone, as well as various variants of portal hypertension, including bleeding from varicose veins of the esophagus and stomach, and diuretic-resistant ascites with access to liver transplantation.

In the trauma unit provides specialized care to victims with severe multiple and combined shock injury, untreated lesions of the musculoskeletal system in patients with isolated mechanical trauma methods of modern highly traumatologic and orthopedic aids: extramedullary, intramedullary nailing and transosseus; arthroscopy of large joints; endoprosthesis of large joints.
In the hospital, surgical treatment of craniocerebral trauma is carried out, including using endovideosurgical techniques; arterial aneurysms of cerebral vessels; Decompression-stabilizing operations for trauma of the spine with the use of modern implants. Much attention is paid to improving the methods of diagnosis and treatment of various pathologies in the head and neck area, including injuries, wounds, purulent-inflammatory processes, correction of congenital defects of the facial skull.
Since the department of vascular surgery has started to work, we begin treatment of patients with acute vascular diseases using high-tech and low-traumatic techniques in patients with obliterating atherosclerosis of the arteries of the lower limbs; emergency operations in acute thrombophlebitis; surgical treatment of various forms of varicose veins; high-tech techniques of surgical interventions for complicated aneurysms of the abdominal aorta.


Kazan Clinical Hospital No.7 has a strong staffing potential. The number of staff on July 1, 2017 is 2894 people.
